Subject: Use of uninitialized value $what in string at /usr/share/perl/5.20/App/Cpan.pm line 554
I am trying to install App::cpanminus on a freshly installed Ubunutu 15.04 (no previous modules installed, and currently no "~/.cpan" directory : $ cpan App::cpanminus CPAN.pm requires configuration, but most of it can be done automatically. If you answer 'no' below, you will enter an interactive dialog for each configuration option instead. Would you like to configure as much as possible automatically? [yes] Use of uninitialized value $what in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/share/perl/5.20/App/Cpan.pm line 554, <STDIN> line 1. ... [cut] The rest of the installation of App::cpanminus seems to work fine in spite of this initial warning, but I suggest the issue still be fixed for the future in order not to worry coming Perl users :)
Thank you for your report, this was fixed around 2.25
