Subject: Math-BigInt-1.999701 causes Math-BigRat-0.2608 failures
Situation:
- perl 5.22.0 (MS Windows, 32bit with 64bit int == MSWin32-x86-multi-thread-64int)
- Math-BigInt-1.9997 + Math-BigRat-0.2608 is OK
- Math-BigInt-1.999701 installs fine
- but with Math-BigInt-1.999701 Math-BigRat-0.2608 fails many tests

Thanks for the report. This was an oversight on my part. I'll fix this as soon as possible.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Is if safe to just skip/ignore Math-BigRat failures or should I better wait for the next release? I am a strawberry perl maintainer and currently I am preparing 5.20.3 release but I am a bit unsure what set of Math::Big* modules should I include into strawberry perl (usual strategy is update all of them to the latest CPAN versions which failed and ended up as this bug report). -- kmx
I have uploaded Math-BigRat-0.260801 to CPAN. That one works with Math-BigInt-1.999701. Since Math-BigRat-0.260801 is so new, I have not seen any smoke tester reports yet. If you think it is a bit risky to include such a recent version, you can use Math-BigRat-0.2608 and Math-BigInt-1.9997. As you noticed, you can not use Math-BigRat-0.2608 together with Math-BigInt-1.999701. I will try to avoid such incompatibilities in the future.

Looks good so far: http://fast-matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=Math-BigRat%200.260801

Yes, my test build of strawberry perl (which is perl 5.20.3 core + approx. 300-400 extra modules) also went fine. I think this RT can be closed. Thanks. -- kmx
I'm glad this worked. I'm closing this ticket.
