Subject: Mail::OpenDKIM won't build with latest libopendkim
Date: Sat, 8 Aug 2015 19:01:55 +0100
To: bug-Mail-OpenDKIM [...] rt.cpan.org
From: David Stevenson <david [...] ytfc.com>
Hi! FreeBSD ports are now including the latest libopendkim 2.10.3, and v2.10.* removed support for ADSP. The outcome is that Mail::OpenDKIM no longer builds/installs, as the XS file will not compile. Mail::OpenDKIM is marked as deprecated by FreeBSD, which recommends switching to Mail::DKIM - but the latter is too slow for our needs. Is a fix planned? If not, would you be able to accept a patch? It will be several days before I could put something together, however, as I’m on holiday at the moment. Kind regards David

If you want to take over there perl module I'm fine with that. When we benchmarked this vs the pure perl implementation it was not much faster or the same speed. Show quoted text

Hi, thanks for a quick response, much appreciated. My next step will be to revisit our old benchmarks in the light of your comments. If we find that Mail:DKIM works for us, we’ll move to that. If not, I’ll chat to you about taking over Mail::OpenDKIM Kindest regards, David Show quoted text
