When EXIFTool (windows version 9.99) is run against a K3ii high res pixel shift image the maker note "Pentax_0x0409 (tag 0x409) is only displayed for the first image (IFD0). The other IFD images stop at 0x0408. All four images in a K3ii file have the 0x0409 tag. I have attached a text file of the output from EXIFTool with arguments -a -v2. I have also included a diff file comparing the EXIFTool output and that of my image metadata display software, The original DNG file was "K32hSLI00100_HR.DNG" from Image Resource: http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/pentax-k3-ii/K32hSLI00100_HR.DNG.HTM Ed Hannon 727-815-6195

Hi Ed, Thanks for this report. I don't like to contradict you, but I have a pixel-shift K-3II sample here, and tag 0x0409 only exists for the first image. Take a look at the -htmldump output. The first image has 115 entries in the maker notes, and the other 3 have only 114. - Phil

That's strange. When I run my software in debug mode I get three hits at break point for 0x409. Will do some more testing to make sure that I am not seeing the same IFD three times. Show quoted text

Found my problem. I was pointing to the same Makernotes block for each TIFF IFD. Changed it and now getting same as you. Sorry 'bout that. Wonder what is in 0x409 that is only in the first makernotes. Ed Show quoted text
