Subject: dev release has not been moved to stable in 5 years
0.04_01 has been sitting as the latest release for five years. Can it go stable? It makes signatures fail its test because it's not eval'ing the underscore out of its $VERSION. Say the word and I'll release as 0.05.

It's been almost six years, so I'm calling it. 0.05 is released.
