Subject: [PATCH] make manpage encoding explicit to fix POD error
Date: Tue, 7 Jul 2015 23:46:13 +0200
To: bug-date-calc [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Florian Schlichting <fsfs [...] debian.org>
In Debian we are currently applying the attached patch to Date-Calc. We thought you might be interested in it, too. Description: fix errors from pod2man (specify encoding as latin-1) Author: Florian Schlichting <fsfs@debian.org> This is also visible as "1 POD Error" on the bottom of e.g. https://metacpan.org/pod/distribution/Date-Calc/lib/Date/Calc.pod Thanks in advance, Florian Schlichting, Debian Perl Group

Thanks for the info! Back in the old days when this module was developed, i11n was something very exotic and that pragma didn't even exist (at least not to my knowledge). ISO-Latin-1 was the implicit standard. I will try not to forget to include your patch whenever I should find the time to make a new release. Right now this is unfortunately not possible (and at least for another year or so to come), a small baby is underway, who already keeps us very busy (threat of extremely premature birth)! :-) Cheers, Steffen On Tuesday, 7 July 2015, fsfs@debian.org via RT <bug-Date-Calc@rt.cpan.org> wrote: Show quoted text
