Subject: Function can_run searches only in /usr/bin on Mac OS X 10.9.5

Hi, I wrote a Perl script on my Mac and used function can_run to find the path to wget. Wget was installed at /usr/local/bin. can_run reported that wget isn’t installed. Than I created a link from /usr/local/bin/wget to /usr/bin and can_run was able to find wget. System and OS information: OS: Mac OS X 10.9.5 Perl: This is perl 5, version 16, subversion 2 (v5.16.2) built for darwin-thread-multi-2level (with 3 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail) IPC-Cmd-0.92 Is this intended by design or a bug :-) Thanks, Thomas

Impossible to say without more information -- for example, what is the value of your $PATH environment variable? What does perl -V say?
