Subject: test suite fails with uninitialized error
Date: Fri, 12 Jun 2015 16:41:48 -0700
To: bug-Params-Validate [...] rt.cpan.org
From: Jim Bacon <james.bacon [...] cpanel.net>
Many of the tests fail with the following message: Use of uninitialized value in scalar assignment at /root/.cpan/build/Params-Validate-1.18/blib/lib/Params/Validate/PP.pm line 554. This behavior is also observed if the module is force installed and a validation rule includes a callback. Perl version 5.8.8 P::V version 1.18 Jim Bacon cPanel, Inc. I can see that the uninitialized errors are not in themselves causing the failure, but it makes for noisy logs to say the least. Not loading the XS version is a different problem that I am not concerned with at the moment, but it would be nice to know why that is not working. That is probably on our end. Thanks for looking at this. Jim Bacon cPanel, Inc. Perl Developer j <mailto:james.bacon@cpanel.net>ames.bacon@cpanel.net C: (702) 427-3450 Show quoted text
