Given the following input:
able.baker: foo@big-u.edu
able.baker: bar@small-u.edu
the last entry wins without any warnings. A duplicate alias name
in the input is probably an error.
Given the following input:
Able.Baker: foo@big-u.edu
able.baker: bar@small-u.edu
Both alias are kept even though this is also most likely a
duplicate. There should at least be an option to ignore case in
the local part.
"An email address such as John.Smith@example.com is made up of
a local part, an @ symbol, then a domain part. The domain part
is case-insensitive but the local part is (in theory)
case-sensitive. In practice, the mail system at example.com may
(and most mail systems will) treat John.Smith as equivalent to
john.smith or even johnsmith.[1]"
