Trying to run request_spot_instances, I get:
Can't locate object method "current_status_async" via package "VM2::EC2::Spot::InstanceRequest" at /usr/local/share/perl5/VM2/EC2.pm line 1234. 

It looks like that sub was implemented for many request types, but not for spot.
