There are currently four fail reports visible at http://matrix.cpantesters.org/?dist=MarpaX-Languages-M4%200.008 --- and all of them are due to an Out of memory error.

On other systems the t/m4.t test enters a busy loop, and on my smokers such processes are killed after consuming one CPU hour. A perl-stacktrace of such a process looks like this: /opt/perl-5.18.4/bin/perl-stacktrace 27008 [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] Using host libthread_db library "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libthread_db.so.1". 0x00007f74f8a97e30 in parse_expression () from /opt/perl-5.18.4/lib/site_perl/5.18.4/x86_64-linux/auto/re/engine/GNU/GNU.so t/m4.t:96 /home/cpansand/.cpan/build/MarpaX-Languages-M4-0.008-1Salta/blib/lib/MarpaX/Languages/M4.pm:24 (eval 823):11 /home/cpansand/.cpan/build/MarpaX-Languages-M4-0.008-1Salta/blib/lib/MarpaX/Languages/M4/Impl/Default.pm:3586 (eval 818):11 /home/cpansand/.cpan/build/MarpaX-Languages-M4-0.008-1Salta/blib/lib/MarpaX/Languages/M4/Impl/Default.pm:3559 /opt/perl-5.18.4/lib/site_perl/5.18.4/Try/Tiny.pm:72 /opt/perl-5.18.4/lib/site_perl/5.18.4/Try/Tiny.pm:81 /home/cpansand/.cpan/build/MarpaX-Languages-M4-0.008-1Salta/blib/lib/MarpaX/Languages/M4/Impl/Default.pm:3539 (eval 388):6 /home/cpansand/.cpan/build/MarpaX-Languages-M4-0.008-1Salta/blib/lib/MarpaX/Languages/M4/Impl/Parser.pm:122 (eval 393):6 /home/cpansand/.cpan/build/MarpaX-Languages-M4-0.008-1Salta/blib/lib/MarpaX/Languages/M4/Impl/Parser.pm:519 (eval 391):11 /home/cpansand/.cpan/build/MarpaX-Languages-M4-0.008-1Salta/blib/lib/MarpaX/Languages/M4/Impl/Parser.pm:323 /opt/perl-5.18.4/lib/site_perl/5.18.4/Try/Tiny.pm:72 /opt/perl-5.18.4/lib/site_perl/5.18.4/Try/Tiny.pm:81 /home/cpansand/.cpan/build/MarpaX-Languages-M4-0.008-1Salta/blib/lib/MarpaX/Languages/M4/Impl/Parser.pm:320 (eval 728):11 /home/cpansand/.cpan/build/MarpaX-Languages-M4-0.008-1Salta/blib/lib/MarpaX/Languages/M4/Impl/Default.pm:1509 (eval 879):21 /home/cpansand/.cpan/build/MarpaX-Languages-M4-0.008-1Salta/blib/lib/MarpaX/Languages/M4/Impl/Default.pm:1439 (eval 504):15 /home/cpansand/.cpan/build/MarpaX-Languages-M4-0.008-1Salta/blib/lib/MarpaX/Languages/M4/Impl/Regexp.pm:77 /opt/perl-5.18.4/lib/site_perl/5.18.4/Try/Tiny.pm:72 /opt/perl-5.18.4/lib/site_perl/5.18.4/Try/Tiny.pm:81 On this system re::engine::GNU version 0.014 is installed.
Hello, Yes, the problem lies in re::engine::GNU, a tricky piece of code and I am working on this... Thanks for reporting this.
