Subject: Support for non-gcc systems
The Makefile in the unibilium sources has "gcc" hardcoded as the C compiler. This means non-gcc systems (like FreeBSD 10, which has only clang installed by default) cannot be built. It seems that the unibilium original sources have this already fixed, see https://github.com/mauke/unibilium/commit/218ce9d0fbf318c120af7b13beceb2f9446b0fe6
I've just shipped a version 0.12, which bundles unibilium v1.1.4 (having that fixed already). -- Paul Evans

Looks good. I had to install libtool, which was not yet on this system, and the make usage error in Build.PL is somewhat disturbing, but probably harmless.
