Subject: tar file contains 'hidden' directory.
Hi, thanks for your work on this module. In version 2.1.17 onwards the tar file has a "." directory along side the "XML-XSH2-2.1.18" directory, containing "PaxHeaders.12696". Thanks

I can also reproduce the problem on an old debian/squeeze system with the system perl. More insights about the problem may be found here: https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=90165 A possible workaround is to use a recent Archive::Tar. Another possible workaround is to upgrade CPAN.pm, and set the option prefer_external_tar to 1. Maybe using cpanm instead of CPAN.pm could also help. On the author side, creating the tarball with TAR_OPTIONS='--format=gnu' or so might help.
Fixed (ustar format used, i.e. old POSIX).
