namespace::autoclean has been updated to work without Moose, and not clean overload subs. At this point, autoclean does basically everything this module was intended to do, and doesn't suffer from a few issues that exist in this module.
It would be nice if it could be deprecated, pointing people back toward namespace::autoclean. If not, at least having the docs updated to remove the information about namespace::autoclean that is no longer accurate.
