The debug line for "Looking for ending parenthsis match..." seems to print if "debug" is defined, regardless of whether it is True or False.
When you remove "debug" from the new object creation, the message is not printed.
Please ensure that "Looking for ending parenthsis match" is not printed when "debug => 0".
(Also, not the miss-spelling of the word parenthesis in the message.)
